The Chelsea supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern are delighted with Antonio Conte’s start to life as the club’s manager, with the Italian leading the Blues to the summit of the Premier League.

There were some reservations among the contingent of Chelsea supporters over whether or not Conte would take to life in the top-flight of English football, although all of those doubts have now been consigned to the past.

One Chelsea fan in particular is sat enjoying a game of cards with his pals and he is in buoyant spirits, joking that the Blues will have the league title wrapped up by Easter on their current form!

Chelsea could still do with another central defender and signing Keane could trump rivals Manchester United in the process.

Keane has been in solid form for Burnley this season and it doesn’t really seem as though he will remain at the club in the long-term.

One Chelsea fan would be more than happy with Keane’s arrival at Stamford Bridge, stating that an English central defender would please the supporters.

Another English central defender who could be a good signing for Conte and Chelsea is the Middlesbrough stopper Gibson.

The left-footed defender has been in solid form for the newly promoted side and he is another talented player who could be set for a move to a bigger club.
