Bournemouth are looking like a well-established Premier League side these days and our local Cherries supporters here in the Transfer Tavern are loving every minute.
In Eddie Howe, they have one of the most exciting managers around and whilst they’ll be worried about keeping hold of him in the long run, the short term future is looking good for the club.
Many wondered how the club would deal with the infamous ‘second season syndrome’ this year after enjoying a good debut campaign last year in the top flight, but it looks as though they’re doing absolutely fine.
The south-coast side are playing some lovely attacking football and look like they’re happy to take anyone on, with a number of eye-catching results already on the board.
The next challenge is for Howe to improve the side and make them challenge higher up which means, according to our landlord, these THREE players have to leave…
Emerson Hyndman (Loan)
Hyndman signed from Fulham in the summer and is a promising looking midfielder given he has made two full senior appearances for the United States, but Bournemouth should let him go out on loan.
He clearly has talent but he risks stunting the progress of his career if he isn’t getting game time and that simply isn’t happening at the moment.
Lewis Grabban
Grabban just cannot cut it in the Premier League.
He would be well suited for a Championship side but that is not where Bournemouth want to be heading and so he simply must go. Callum Wilson is a far better option up top for the south-coast club, and if need be the team could easily go and buy a better player than Grabban who should go in January.
Ryan Allsop
Allsop has spent a number of the last few seasons on loan at different levels in the lower tiers of English football, and is currently on loan in League Two with Portsmouth.
He needs to be let go permanently, then, by Bournemouth as it is not helping anyone in him constantly being in a state of flux and not knowing where his career is heading.
