Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are keen to see some action from their side this month as they go in search of that Premier League crown.
The Reds are aiming to reel in Chelsea at the top of the league and have been one of the best sides to watch in the division this season.
Their attacking play has seen them tear many sides apart up until now but at times their defence has not followed suit with levels of performance and that has let them down.
The Anfield men could do with some more players coming in, then, but our landlord also feels they need to get rid of some of the deadwood in order to improve the level of quality amid their ranks.
It could be quite the busy window on Merseyside, then, and our landlord reckons that these two players need to be let go by the Reds in the coming days…
Lucas Leiva

Lucas looks well past his best now and the Reds should let him go.
When he comes on he looks off the pace and gives away more fouls than he did in his prime, and even that was too many for our local Reds punters. The Brazilian has been a great servant for the club and deserves to be held in fairly high regard amongst the fan base but this time comes to every player and he should be looking pastures new.
Mamadou Sakho

Sakho and Jurgen Klopp’s relationship seems beyond repair and so that can surely only lead to one thing.
The French defender was a key part of the Reds’ side last season but an evident falling out on the club’s pre-season tour of the United States last summer appeared to stop that dead. He now resides in the U23 side and our landlord believes it’ll be best for all involved that he moves on as soon as possible.
