It’s time: Leeds must go for promotion and axe these 2 stars this summer

Leeds United fans here in the Tavern are desperate for their side to secure Premier League football next season, after struggling to grind out positive performances in the current campaign.

Indeed, the Whites may be on the prowl for a new manager in the summer transfer window, as the club seem to have taken a step backwards since Paul Heckingbottom took over. So, there’s no doubt that the summer transfer window will have a huge say on next season for Leeds United, as Premier League football is very much the main aim for both the owners and supporters.

However, the only way that this can become achievable is by getting rid of any dead weight in the summer months, and possibly bringing in a few experienced and world-class players. Therefore, the Whites now have a busy few months ahead of them with their future at stake, as any more mistakes could prove costly in the long run.

So without further ado, Leeds United must go for promotion next season and axe these TWO stars in the summer…

Andy Lonergan

Andy Lonergan finds himself out of the squad at this moment in time after witnessing Bailey Peacock-Farrell’s rise to stardom, as a summer transfer window exit is looking inevitable.

Although, the Englishman did display moments of brilliance when he was given an opportunity in the side, but now finds himself as Paul Heckingbottom’s third-choice goalkeeper.

Therefore, Leeds United must axe Lonergan in the summer transfer window as he’s wasted talent at Elland Road, with many of our local residents wanting to see the back of him.

Hadi Sacko

Interestingly, Hadi Sacko looked like he had a bright future ahead of him at Elland Road, but it appears that a summer transfer window exit could be in the offing after falling heavily out of favour.

Indeed, the 24-year-old hasn’t made an appearance in the first-team since Leeds United lost 3-0 against Wolverhampton Wanderers last month, as Paul Heckingbottom continues to leave the winger out.

So without further ado, the Whites should look to cut ties with Sacko in the summer transfer window, as a drop down to League One looks to be appropriate after struggling to come to terms with the Championship.
