Sunderland could be about to keep one of their key individuals at the club this summer.
The Costa Rica international is thought to have been linked with moves away from the Stadium of Light outfit this summer, however, his manager believes he will be in the north-east beyond Friday’s deadline.
“The Bryan situation has been fairly consistent in that his application to what we’ve been doing here is evident. At no point has he ever expressed a desire to leave,” he told the Shields Gazette.
“Things can change very quickly, but there’s nothing on the horizon at the moment so all being well he’ll be with me for Saturday and beyond.”
The Verdict:

Sunderland will be delighted that Oviedo will be staying with them for the current campaign, providing a late move does not materialise.
The 28-year-old is considered to be one of the better players at the club and will give the Black Cats an even better chance of winning promotion back to the Championship.
The £1.8million-rated left-back, as per Transfermarkt, is hugely experienced and is probably playing at a level beneath his standard, although Sunderland will not be too disappointed to keep him at the Stadium of Light this summer.
