Liverpool have been in fantastic form this season and despite their Champions League loss to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, it has been all too much to bear for one young Manchester United fan.
A 10-year-old named Daragh wrote to Jurgen Klopp to complain (via the Kop on Twitter) about the Reds’ winning streak this season, calling on the German to allow the opposition to score more often and make his own team lose.
Klopp has seen the funny side of things and responded with a letter of his own to the young fan, showing admiration for his passion and support while stating that he is unable to accept his request. It is a brilliant gesture from the Liverpool boss and sums up his character, and it is yet another action that has endeared him to the Anfield faithful.
He is already a hugely popular figure on Anfield but he has gained more plaudits for his perfect handling of the situation and showing class in doing so.
