The summer transfer window gives every team in England the chance to build up their squads to improve them for the long season ahead.
For some teams its about a complete overhaul, getting as many new players in as possible to improve a seriously under-performing side from the season before.
For others its about bringing in a couple of names to compliment a good core of players that did well last time out, a little like Leicester City for example.
For Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, his main transfer business looks done.
The German spent little time targeting the men he wants to lead Liverpool to success next season and was heavily backed by the owners, as he spent over just over £75million on the likes of Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum.
But another job he needs to tend to is getting some of the deadwood out of the club, perhaps some players that aren’t going to make the first-team during the next season at least.
So with that in mind, here’s THREE players Jurgen Klopp needs to axe before the end of the summer transfer window…..
Mario Balotelli
Sorry Mario, but this is the easiest one on our list.
The Italian just hasn’t lived up to the hype at all since his moved to Merseyside back in 2014, and his off-the-pitch antics are forever distracting him from what could be a fantastic playing career.
A loan move to AC Milan failed to reap any change in form and it seems like Super Mario will be sold before the end of the transfer window.
When you’re more in exile than Christian Benteke, you know your time is up.
Tiago Ilori
The £7 million the Reds paid for Tiago Llori is never going to wield any return- neither on nor off the pitch.
The Portuguese U23 international spent the entire first-half of the season on-loan at Aston Villa and couldn’t get in their team, which is one of the worst we’ve ever seen in the Premier League. Surely then you know it is time to move on to pastures new.
He’s made just three appearances in total for the Reds, all in cup competitions and it’s time for Jurgen to wield the axe.
Lucas Leiva
Unlike the other two in this list, Lucas Leiva does not deserve to be lambasted by anyone for his time at Liverpool.
The Brazilian has been a true gent and a real asset at times on the pitch but its time to move on.
The 29-year-old isn’t getting any younger and we just can’t see he him making Liverpool a force this season.
Has been exceptional in the past but Liverpool might be better of getting him off the wage bill and investing elsewhere.
