Jurgen Klopp simply must sign these 2 Italians for Liverpool in January

When Jurgen Klopp had finished his summer business this season there were a few who were wondering whether he’d actually done that well.

Indeed, our Reds fans here in the Transfer Tavern felt that the side was lacking in some areas and thought that a new left back was almost certainly going to come in.

As it turned out, though, the Reds went with James Milner as their man in that position and you have to say it’s worked so far.

In fact, all of Liverpool’s signings have been at least pretty decent so far, with Klopp moulding the squad into a very handy looking side and that is reflected by their lofty position in the league.

They’ve certainly been brilliantly attacking wise for sure whilst the defence is looking a little better if not perfect right now.

Klopp’s dealings in the market seem to have reassured Reds fans, then, and our landlord reckons if he signed these TWO Italians he’d make them feel even better…

Lorenzo Insigne

With Sadio Mane’s pace on one flank and Insigne’s on the other for the Reds, they’d be an even more frightening prospect for opposition defences to handle.

The speedy Italian would be well suited for Klopp’s high-pressing style whilst his current club’s fortunes could see him wanting out.

Napoli do not look the side they were last season and that could come to Liverpool’s aid.

Mattia De Sciglio

Whilst we’ve mentioned that James Milner is the Reds current left-back they do still need another one even if it’s only as cover.

Signing De Sciglio would be more than that though as he is top drawer.

He can play on either side and has pace to burn whilst he’s also a handy defender like most Italians are. He’s got plenty of years left, too, and that means Klopp could really make him a great.
