Jurgen Klopp to refuse any attempt to send Loris Karius back to Liverpool

Things really have not gone too well for Loris Karius during his time at Liverpool, have they? Tipped to have a bright future, the German goalkeeper quickly turned himself into a villain at Anfield after his horror-show in the Champions League final last season.

It is understood things have not improved for him during his time in Turkey during the current campaign, where he is currently on loan with Besiktas. And, it does not appear that Jurgen Klopp is ready to help him out with his current situation.

What’s the News?

According to a report by The Mirror (print edition 22 March 2019, page 56, via HITC Sport), the manager is believed to be prepared to block any attempt that Besiktas have in trying to return him from his loan deal early.

The 25-year-old joined the Istanbul giants on a two-year loan in the summer, however, they have not been impressed with his performances and want to break the agreement with the Premier League outfit that they currently have.

The Verdict:

As each day passes, things really do not appear to be getting any better for Karius, whether it be at Liverpool or at Besiktas.

The spell in Turkey was supposed to help him put the Champions League nightmare and a number of errors during last season’s Premier League campaign behind him, however, those costly errors appear to have followed him across Europe.

With Klopp appearing to block any possibility of the player making a return to Anfield in the near future, the 25-year-old could find himself out on the fringes even at the Super Lig club unless a deal with another side could be reached for him.

The likes of Eintracht Frankfurt and Fortuna Dusseldorf are both alleged to be potential options for him, although whether a move in the summer can happen remains to be seen.

Liverpool fans, do you think Klopp is right to block any potential attempt that Besiktas may make to send Karius back to the club? Let us know your thoughts by sharing them below!
