Jurgen Klopp has already made waves in this summer’s transfer window, getting his business done early as he aims to build his Liverpool squad for next season.
The German has bought in Schalke defender Joel Matip, the Bundesliga’s hottest young keeper Loris Karius and the talented Marko Grujic from Red star Belgrade, and is set to make plenty more transfers before the window closes.
His next target may just be highly rated Udinese and Poland midfielder Piotr Zielinski. According to reports from the Liverpool Echo, the Red’s have already tabled a bid of £9.5 million for the midfielder in an effort to secure his services for next season.
Zielinski has enjoyed two fine spells on loan at Serie A side Empoli, helping them retain their top flight status for two successive seasons, chipping in with a return of 5 goals and 4 assists in the most recent campaign.
If Jurgen Klopp can land his man, Liverpool would find themselves in possession of a fine young player who is technically gifted and has an eye for a killer pass.
With Zielinski in their improving young squad, here is what our Liverpool fans at the Tavern hope their midfield can line up like next season…..

LM – Adam Lallana

Despite not being his preferred position, Lallana has impressed for both club and country when playing out wide.
More ‘continental’ than many other English midfielders, his fantastic touch and tight ball control mean he is a danger from out wide and when coming inside.
CM – Marko Grujic

The 20-year-old Serbian midfielder is a box-to-box midfielder, who can both score goals as well as help out his side defensively. Compared extensively to fellow Serb Nemanja Matic, the towering 6”3 midfielder commands the ball in the centre of the park and is technically gifted with the ball at his feet.
CM – Piotr Zielinski

“I work hard in Empoli so that in June I may have a chance for such a big transfer.”
Those were Zielinski’s words when asked about a potential move earlier in the year, and Napoli – who are also interested – have all but confirmed his wish to move to Anfield next season following attempts to sign him themselves. The Poland international would likely play further forward than fellow new boy Grujic as he operates best in behind a lone striker.
RM – Andriy Yarmolenko

Everton are said to be interested in securing the Ukrainian winger’s services this summer, however it could be that Yarmelenko makes the switch to the other side of the city and joins the Red’s instead.
How no-one has already snapped up the exciting midfielder – who has bagged 113 times for club Dynamo Kiev in 288 appearances and 23 in 57 for his country – is astounding.
CAM – Phillipe Coutinho

The Red’s may be lucky to hold on to their midfield talisman this summer amidst interest from Barcelona, however the fans at the tavern are still praying the Brazilian opts to stay at Anfield next season.
Their stand out performer of the previous campaign, Coutinho was excellent and popped up with vital goals which more often than not rescued his side when they needed it.
