‘Just move on’, ‘Coming home’ - Fans are divided after confirmed news relating to Chelsea transfer chase

For the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern, Romelu Lukaku is a pretty decent player to be targeting this summer…

There is a genuine need at Stamford Bridge for a bit of additional offensive depth, and for many in the pub – Lukaku is the perfect answer. Strong, quick, powerful, prolific – he has all the traits of a top striker. Chelsea have been linked in recent weeks.

Any deal regarding the Belgian is likely to drag on this summer, given that he will be in-demand given his current form, but for Chelsea – Conte really should be going all out for the Belgian.

They likely won’t be the only club keen, though. Indeed, the Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate to see him replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic, whilst many Evertonians haven’t given up hope of him staying.

The latest update on the matter, provided by Ronald Koeman, is that Lukaku won’t be signing a new contract at Everton – and that has left the whole Tavern talking.

Indeed, it is a very similar story on Twitter – with Everton, Man Utd and Chelsea fans all having their say on where Lukaku could go…
