Jadon Sancho’s agent has arrived in Turin to attempt to break a deadlock between Man United and Juventus over a deal for the player. The Serie A club have been pushing to sign the player this summer following Chelsea’s decision to pay a penalty rather than turn his loan into a £25m permanent move.
United are now reportedly willing to accept £15m from Juventus to offload Sancho, but the move would require a substantial pay cut for the player. The Daily Mail has reported that Sancho is now demanding a severance payment of around £5m from United to compensate for the reduced wages.
United view the demand as too high and are seeking an agreement with Juventus to split the fee. Sancho’s agent Emeka Obasi arrived in Turin on Wednesday to attempt to smooth over the issue between the clubs.
Sancho’s expected wage package at Juventus is unknown, but it will likely be a far cry from his £275,000-a-week deal with United.
Sancho could depart Old Trafford this summer

Sancho is one of a five castaway players for United who are training apart from the first team at United’s training ground Carrington. This list also includes Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia.
Like Rashford and Antony, Sancho enjoyed a fairly successful loan spell last season, scoring five goals and adding 10 assists across 42 appearances for Chelsea. One of those goals came off the bench in Chelsea’s Europa Conference League triumph.
Despite this, Chelsea opted to pay United a £5m penalty rather than £25m to turn his loan into a permanent move. The player also enjoyed a brief return to Dortmund in 2023. Wage demands were reportedly the main stumbling block in both loan deals not becoming permanent.
Sancho was targeted by Juventus last summer before he made his season-long loan move to Chelsea. The 25-year-old is reportedly keen on the move this time around, and has reportedly rejected advances from Turkish club Fenerbahce.
Sancho has not played for Man United in the Premier League since an explosive falling out with then manager Erik ten Hag in 2023.
