Loris Karius, it seems, has never recovered from his last ever game for Liverpool in 2018.
The German had been instrumental in the Reds reaching the Champions League final against Real Madrid, having played in all 12 games before the showpiece. He would also be selected by Jurgen Klopp for the clash in Kiev, as well, but he like so many others will have wished he hadn’t been.

The 26-year-old would make two monumental errors for Karim Benzema’s strike and Gareth Bale’s second goal – there was nothing he could about the first, to be fair – which would lead to Los Merengues winning 3-1. That was the last time he played for the Anfield outfit, with him moving on loan to Besiktas that summer.

Now, James Pearce has shared a tweet of Karius’ open letter confirming that he has cut short his contract with the Turkish outfit. This has led to droves of the club’s supporters reacting, and it is fair to say that they are not too happy to see him return to Merseyside. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.

Can they pay anyone to take him.
No room for sentimentality in top flight football. He’s a liability— Simon Croghan (@CroghanSimon) May 4, 2020
Another problem. The Ego has landed.

Can we terminate his contract also?

All these Karius fans…what are they on? More gaff prone than David James and not a player for the big occasion, when playing for LFC is a big occasion every week. He talked a big game and never delivered one.
