Loris Karius’ career at Liverpool never really went to plan.
The German was signed from Jurgen Klopp’s former club Mainz 05 in 2016 to provide competition/back-up for Simon Mignolet, the number one at the time, and after making 10 appearances during his first campaign at the club, he made 19 in the league during the 2017/18 season.
It was in the Champions League that term where he made his biggest mark – although not for the right reasons. In the final against Real Madrid, he gave away two goals as Los Merengues won 3-1, and he left the field in tears.
That was to be his last Reds appearance, with the 26-year-old being sent out on loan to Besiktas in August 2018. Now, it seems he is so desperate to stay in Turkey, he is willing to take a pay-cut, as per A Spor.

I don’t, we only have one or two average players left at the club that need to move on. We dint need or want him back. Adrian, mignolet and karius are all the same level quality wise.. not up to it
