The Liverpool supporting punters here in the Football Transfer Tavern have been pretty happy with the work which Jurgen Klopp has done this campaign, with the likelihood of returning to the Champions League next season looking pretty good at the moment.
Should the Reds take a place in European football’s showcase competition next season then they would definitely require a better quality of player than what they have right now.
One Liverpool fan is sat in the Tavern’s beer garden and he has hit the nail on the head regarding the club’s squad, stating that although the Reds possess some quality players already, a return to the Champions League would require Klopp to go out and secure three or four stellar signings in order for them to compete.
With departures also likely during the summer, our landlord looks at three Liverpool players and states which of them should be kept, which should be loaned out and which unlucky squad member should be moved to another club permanently.
Keep – Trent Alexander-Arnold

The Liverpool youngster has earned rave reviews for his performances in the development squad this season and he has also made his first-team debut too.
With the club likely to compete in four trophies next season it is very unlikely that Nathaniel Clyne will feature every week and that could hand Alexander-Arnold ample chances to shine.
Axe – Lucas Leiva

The Brazilian midfielder has been a quality servant to the football club during his time at Anfield but this summer must be the time when his Liverpool career comes to an end.
If the club is to qualify for the Champions League then they must rank ability over sentiment and that will spell bad new for Lucas.
One Reds supporters is having a drink with the landlord at the bar and he agrees that the club should flog Lucas in the summer, stating that he is way past his best.
Loan – Joe Gomez

After returning from a serious knee injury problem earlier in the campaign, Gomez has struggled to force his way into the first-team fold and a loan spell would be perfect.
One Liverpool fan is sat by the pool tables enjoying a pint and a game of pool and he thinks that Gomez would certainly get in to most mid-table Premier League clubs, stating that a move to play regular top-flight football would only be a good thing for Liverpool Football Club.
Liverpool fans, do you agree with the landlord regarding these three players? Let us know in the comments below!!!
