Chelsea battled to a hard-fought 2-1 away win against Stoke City this weekend to stretch their lead at the top of the Premier League to a huge ten points, and aren’t their fans here in the Transfer Tavern delighted about it!

Antonio Conte has masterminded the Blues’ push for the title with real aplomb, overhauling the side and building a team that is capable of truly challenging for silverware once again.

The likes of N’Golo Kante have been absolute game-changers in the middle-of-the-park and ask any of the dozens of Blues fans lining the bar – they really deserve to win it this season.

And with the title seemingly closer than ever before, attention will quickly turn to this summer, where Conte has a huge decision to make in a whole variety of stars at the club for different reasons.

So with that in mind and armed with some serious opinions from our punters here in the bar, here’s the THREE Chelsea stars that Antonio Conte faces the biggest decision on this summer…

AXE: Lucas Piazon

Once tipped as the “Neymar” of the up-and-coming footballing world by some punters here in the Tavern, Chelsea fans were hysterical when tricky Brazilian winger Lucas Piazon first burst onto the scene with the Blues.

But his career has somewhat fizzled out after a flying start and he’s currently serving a loan spell with Fulham in the Championship.

Whilst he’s done a decent job down at Craven Cottage, he’s not blown the division away and at 23-years-old, looks unlikely to dispel some of the biggest stars at the Bridge from the first-team anytime soon.

KEEP: Michy Batshuayi

Michy Batshuayi was signed last summer for a pretty hefty sum of money and some of our in-house Chelsea fans in the pub would have liked to have seen a little more of him this season.

But in a team rich with so much talent and Diego Costa being absolutely unplayable at times, you can see why the Belgian has had to bide his time for first-team minutes.

The overwhelming verdict here in the pub is that a loan-spell would probably serve him best next season, probably away from the Premier League so he doesn’t harm Chelsea’s chances of winning any silverware.

KEEP: Nathaniel Chalobah

One-time Watford loanee Nathaniel Chalobah is closer to the Chelsea first-team than ever before and surely it’s only a matter of time before he makes his senior breakthrough.

The former Fulham academy youngster has impressed in the Chelsea U23’s side when he’s played this season and there’s hope here in the Tavern that he’ll continue his progress towards the end of this season and into next.

Chelsea fans want to see him stay and do well at the Bridge for years to come.
