Reports from the Mirror have revealed that Ronald Koeman and Everton Chairman Bill Kenwright have met with Wayne Rooney following his arrest last week.
Rooney, who signed for his boyhood club this summer after 13 years at Manchester United, was arrested for drunk driving last week, a story that made national news.
The 31-year-old has enjoyed a prosperous start to life back at Goodison Park, scoring two goals in the club’s opening three Premier League games.
The report confirmed that the talks happened as Kenwright set out the club’s position on the matter, and what is expected of players like Rooney.
A court case following the incident will reportedly take place in ten days.
