Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern remain confident that their side is going to finish in the top four this season with things in that particular race looking very tight.
Indeed, the Reds are well in the mix at the moment but their rivals do have games in hand and so things could change quickly for them.
All they need to do, then, is win as many games as possible – starting with Manchester City at the weekend – and let those around them try and respond.
Should they reach the top four, and even if they don’t, they’ll be keen to add to the squad in the summer but it appears they could actually lose someone from their ranks when the window opens.
Indeed, there certainly looks set to be a bid with Dinamo evidently interested in the midfielder Marko Grujic with their adviser Zdravko Mamic telling Blic (via goal.com)
“I want to get Marko Grujic from Liverpool on loan.”
Pretty conclusive words from Mamic, then, and so it remains to be seen if Liverpool will entertain such a deal.
Given, though, Grujic has barely played this season our landlord can certainly see this one going through.
