It’s been a seriously disappointing afternoon for our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern, who saw their Reds side lose 2-1 to Crystal Palace at Anfield this afternoon.
In what was a must-win game for Jurgen Klopp’s side, the defensive frailties that have halted them all season came to light once again and a Christian Benteke brace saw the Eagles through.
It means Liverpool will lose ground on their rivals in the chase for the Champions league places, which will now come down to the wire at the end of the season and our Reds-mad barman is seriously disappointed!
And as you can expect after another disappointing performance at home, Reds fans both here and on the paddocks are frustrated with their side, especially having taken the lead through Phillipe Coutinho in the first half.
