As soon as Jurgen Klopp came through the door last season at Anfield, many of our Reds fans here in the Transfer Tavern expected him to start signing German-based players.
It makes sense, of course, to think that. Klopp, prior to moving to Anfield, had never managed outside of the Bundesliga and his home country – and he certainly showed that he knew a few things about the division with his title-winning Dortmund side.
That is what the Liverpool fans want to see on Merseyside – and it looks as though Klopp’s going to use his Bundesliga knowledge to help get them there.
The likes of Joel Matip and Loris Karius have come to the club from Germany and have become instant regulars so for the Anfield crowd, more of the same would be nice.
Klopp, then, should be looking at the best Germany has to offer – and nowhere does it better than Bayern Munich.
Here, then, are two wonderkids from Bayern Munich that our landlord thinks Klopp should be looking at…
Niklas Dorsch

One area the Reds might want to look at strengthening in the future is defensive midfield and Dorsch may be the answer.
He’s currently in Bayern Munich’s reserve team where he’s played eleven times this season, scoring and assisting once.
He’s only 18 but seems to know the position well and that could only get better if he was to work with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
Julian Green

The American impressed during Bayern Munich’s pre-season tour this year and looks like he could be a real star.
He represents the United States and is a testament to how far that country has come in terms of producing good footballers these days.
He is usually a main striker but can play down either wing too and has scored in his handful of appearances so far this season.
