Klopp’s Liverpool keen on £22m-rated forward

Though there’s so much attacking talent to praise for the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern right now, there’s nothing quite like the idea of bringing in another forward.

Having watched their side draw 2-2 with Sunderland yesterday, the Reds propping up the bar are perhaps not quite as convinced their devastating frontline is enough as things stand.

So, reports from Squawka have excited the Kop faithful in the pub.

They’ve revealed the Anfield titans are keen on signing Benfica forward Raul Jimenez in the summer, following his decent goal scoring form in the Portuguese capital.

The 25-year-old has notched eight goals in 18 games this term and while the Reds are reportedly understanding of the fact he won’t be allowed to leave in January, could apparently make a move in the summer.

It’s believed top brass on Merseyside view the £22m-rated Mexican as someone who could one day become a star with the club and the punters propping up the bar are inclined to agree.

With the long-term future of Daniel Sturridge still a talking point amongst our drinkers, they hope Jimenez could potentially prove a good replacement.
