Koeman expects clubs to make move for frustrated Everton man in 2017

For the Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern, life under Ronald Koeman has been a mixed bag of late, despite a strong start to the campaign.

Perhaps indicative of the club’s struggles of late has been golden boy Ross Barkley, who has often invoked the ire of the Toffees in the Tavern this term.

For a player with so much potential, his poor decision making is seemingly costing him a place for both club and country.

So, as much as they don’t welcome such reports, the Goodison Park faithful propping up the bar haven’t been surprised to see a story coming from Bleacher Report.

They’ve revealed concern is growing over the midfielder’s future on Merseyside, with under two years to run on his current deal.

While Everton were said to have been keen on extending his deal, that now appears unlikely as they expect interested parties to make moves in 2017.

Ronald Koeman is thought to have viewed the England international as someone to lead his team forward, though has recently been forced to drop him after his run of poor form.
