Koeman must loan out these 2 Everton players in January

Here in the Transfer Tavern, we have been very impressed with the start that Ronald Koeman has made at Everton this season. The Merseyside club have really come back to their best after the departure of Roberto Martinez.

There are a number of players on the fringes of the Toffees’ squad who would really benefit from a loan spell away this January.

Everton have a reputation for building up some brilliant young English talent the likes of Ross Barkley and Wayne Rooney spring to mind – they’ve turned out pretty well!

Still, even Barkley spent a loan spell away from Goodison Park at Championship side Leeds United.

The loan system can be great for clubs in the lower leagues and give them a chance to bring in some younger Premier League players and help them improve their game as a player as well as help themselves in the short term.

Some players need first-team football to improve and the club don’t want to sell them but just let them improve away from the club; come back and be brilliant for them having gained a wealth of experience.

Everton have a number of younger players coming through who could really benefit from a loan move away to improve themselves and come back and push for a slot in the starting XI.

With that here are TWO players that Koeman must look to loan out…

Tom Davies

The 18-year-old broke into the set-up at the end of last season due to injuries at the club.

The central-midfielder didn’t look out of place when called up to the first team and has been on the bench a number of times thus far this season.

A talented teen, he would be a great asset to any club in the Championship or lower and could really help improve his game in order to come back and give Koeman some food for thought.

Kieran Dowell

The 19-year-old striker is currently down the pecking order at Goodison Park and could benefit from a short spell away from the club in order to gain first team experience.

The striker came on as a sub at the end of last term against Bournemouth but hasn’t really featured since, making it almost essential he moves away on loan.

These two are ones for the future at Everton but, right now, they both could really benefit from a loan move to the lower leagues this January.
