Koeman should unleash these 2 Everton hidden gems in pre-season

Everton are most definitely not messing about in this transfer window as Ronald Koeman continues his impressive recruitment in the window, which is going down all too well with the resident Toffees here in the Football Transfer Tavern.

The north-west outfit have continued to stun pundits and neutrals by showing no remorse and adding top, quality talent to their ranks ahead of the 2017/18 campaign, especially with the latest acquisition.

Born an Everton supporter, England’s legendary figure Wayne Rooney has made a long-awaited return to Goodison Park, which has massively impressed the Tavern landlord, after thirteen years making a name for himself at Manchester United.

However, even with Koeman’s superb and astounding dealings this summer up to this point, he must not forget the bright, prospective youngsters he still has making their way into the game at Everton.

Those will be hoping to galvanise the boss in the next few weeks and months as the Toffees prepare for the forthcoming campaign, which to this point is swiftly approaching.

Here are TWO hidden gems that Ronald Koeman must unleash during the club’s pre-season schedule this month….

Kieran Dowell

Kieran Dowell is undoubtedly the most talent teenager on the brink of Everton’s first-team and a full pre-season with the senior squad will ensure a bright future for the next twelve months at Goodison Park.

The 19 year-old was a prominent figure in the under-23 side last term and our fans-by-the-bar are discussing whether Dowell will remain at the club beyond this summer considering the strength in depth of Wayne Rooney and Ross Barkley in that efficient attacking midfield role.

His efforts for the 2016/17 season were rewarded with a call-up to the England under-20 national team for their World Cup campaign, and bagged himself a goal during the tournament.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is almost the forgotten striker at Goodison Park following Everton’s imposing additions over the last few weeks, leaving the youngster a large gap to fill as talisman Romelu Lukaku departs for pastures new.

Manager Ronald Koeman may feel the 20 year-old isn’t experienced nor adapted to be a consistent first-team figure in his squad for the new campaign, but that is up for the forward to determine, according to our Toffees-mad bar man.

Calvert-Lewin deserves a chance to impress the boss and that is exactly what he’ll do in the club’s pre-season friendlies, netting goals for fun to boost his well-needed confidence ahead of the hectic Premier League schedule.
