Koeman simply must consider signing these 2 Germans for Everton in January

Ronald Koeman appears to not only be steadying the ship at Everton, but leading it in a bold new direction, and the Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern are happy about it!

The Toffees are currently in sixth place in the Premier League, just four points from a Champions League spot.

The Dutchman has solidified what was a very leaky defence under Roberto Martinez, and also seems to be getting the best out of the inconsistent talents of Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku.

Everton’s recruitment have seemingly done a good job in acquiring Ashley Williams, Idrissa Gueye and Maarten Stekelenburg for small fees while Yannick Bolasie could play a big part despite costing £25m.

Now that the Toffees are backed by Farhad Moshiri and if they can stay among the European spots they’ll be able to attract some top European talent.

So far Koeman has stuck with proven Premier League players, but here are TWO German players he should look at in the next window….

RALF FAHRMANN

Although Maarten Stekelenburg has performed admirably since rejoining his former manager at the Toffees, the 34-year-old probably doesn’t have too many years of top flight football left in him.

With Joel Robles seemingly not up to the task, one of Koeman’s first orders of business should be to secure a new stopper.

Ralf Fahrmann would fit the bill should Everton be able to lure him away from Schalke.

The 27-year-old has been one of the few reliable men in a shaky backline for the German club, and would be a steady influence behind the likes of Ashley Williams.

JULIAN BRANDT

One problem Everton seem to have had for a while is a lack of consistent players on the either wing.

The likes of Kevin Mirallas, Gerard Deulofeu and Aaron Lennon have all impressed in fits and starts but none of them have ever nailed a permanent spot.

Yannick Bolasie has gone some way to fixing that problem but Everton could do with another top player.

Julian Brandt could be that player for years to come, although they will have to get in fast before the big clubs come calling.
