When Manchester United take on Everton at Goodison Park later today, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be looking for more of the same from defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
In the reverse fixture at Old Trafford back in December, Wan-Bissaka was excellent as the Red Devils fought back to claim a 1-1 draw. As ever, the 22-year-old was solid at the back, thwarting Everton’s attacks time and again.
According to WhoScored, he had a 100% tackle success rate, winning all six of the tackles he attempted. No player on the pitch won more, with Everton counterpart Seamus Coleman coming in at second with five.
For all of his defensive quality, though, Wan-Bissaka also showed ability on the ball. With a 93% pass success rate, his passing was accurate, and he also managed to complete three dribbles.

The latter is more than what the likes of Marcus Rashford and Richarlison made, putting into perspective the sort of impact the former Crystal Palace man had during the game.
It is in defence, though, where he is likely to be called upon this afternoon, with Everton forwards Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the form of their lives right now, both scoring last weekend as the Toffees were beaten by Arsenal. But if these two sides’ previous meeting is anything to go by, Wan-Bissaka will surely relish the challenge.
