With goals against Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and most recently Arsenal, there is no denying Richarlison’s impact in big games this season.
However, when Everton last took on their opponents for today, the 22-year-old really struggled. Overall, it was a good day for the Toffees, as they were able to hold Manchester United to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. But Richarlison would have been disappointed with his performance in that December encounter.
On WhoScored, he received the lowest match rating in Duncan Ferguson’s starting XI (6.4), struggling to carry the attacking threat he usually does. In the entire 90 minutes, the Brazilian forward did not manage to register a single shot and also failed to win an aerial duel.

Richarlison did, however, have to come up against the aerially-dominant Harry Maguire, who won an astonishing 12 aerial duels that day, the most in the game, so he perhaps deserves some leeway there.
Still, being dispossessed more times (four) than any other Everton player during the tie, the Brazil international will know that he has to do much better this time around if the Toffees are to claim all three points at Goodison Park.
And given what he has accomplished in some of the Merseyside club’s other big games this campaign, there is no reason why the former Watford man cannot do just that.
