Amid all the speculation over Liverpool’s incomings and outgoings this summer, a recent report has stated that Adrian will remain at the club and be Alisson’s deputy.
The Spanish goalkeeper came under a lot of scrutiny following his error that cost Liverpool their place in the Champions League quarter-finals. Adrian gifted a golden chance to Marcos Llorente that helped Atletico Madrid complete their comeback at Anfield, knocking the reigning champions out of Europe.
Transfer speculation hinted that the 33-year-old could potentially be on his way out of Anfield this summer after signing from West Ham in 2019 (via BBC Sport).
However, according to Paul Gorst, Adrian will not be departing at the end of the campaign and will remain a back-up option in Liverpool’s ranks.

Many fans are furious with the news, with several praying that Alisson doesn’t get injured at all next season. One supporter has said he ‘shouldn’t be near Liverpool’ whilst another has called the news ‘crazy’.

He wasn’t good enough for west ham he shouldn’t be near Liverpool. Karius had plenty of wins under his belt too, doesn’t make him great keeper. When Liverpool’s back 4 is in front of you it takes pressure off keepers.

I’d rather have Kamil Grabara as no.2

If true then that is short sighted and crazy.

What’s your take on the decision, Reds? Is it good news that Adrian is staying? Or should the club be getting rid?
