Leeds fans delighted for Roberts with Wales call-up

Ryan Giggs confirmed his official Wales senior squad today for the upcoming fixtures against the Republic of Ireland and Denmark and the young Leeds forward Tyler Roberts has received his first ever senior call-up, which the Whites are delighted with.

The 19-year-old signed for West Brom in January this year and when it was discovered he had a major injury in his shin, he failed to feature for the club at all until pre-season. Now, though, the teenage striker looks like he’s in a great position to kick on and make a name for himself at Elland Road. If he can perform with Wales it could convince Marcelo Bielsa to take a punt on the frontman and use him alongside Kemar Roofe.

Roberts will be lucky enough to feature alongside the likes of Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey in the Wales squad and the fact he’s playing under Ryan Giggs is huge for the youngster’s progression. If he can find his feet with the national team and get some form under his belt then it’s just a matter of time until he breaks into the Leeds United side for the Championship.
