A lot of Leeds fans have been waking up this morning to the news that their club has knocked back an offer from Crystal Palace for their young starlet, Jack Clarke. The 18-year-old winger has been in fine form for the Whites this season, and it’s come as no shock that The Yorkshire Evening Post is reporting of Premier League interest.

Leeds United fans would be happy enough if the transfer window was to end now. They haven’t lose any of their promotion-chasing stars, and they’ve brought in a former Spanish international goalkeeper on a free transfer in Kiko Casilla. Now, though, with interest coming in for Clarke it would be great to see the window behind them so they can focus solely on the footballing side of things from now on.
If Clarke was to be snapped up this window it would be a major blow for the club. The youngster has been rewarding Marcelo Bielsa over the last few months as the Argentine has placed his faith in the Yorkshire man, and after seeing him play it’s easy to see why Bielsa was so quick to give the 18-year-old a place in the squad. If he was to leave for the Premier League, though, he’d be throwing away a lot of what he has at Elland Road, and with promotion on the horizon, a Leeds stay is for the best.

Crystal Palace offer £10m. Having a laugh.Jack Clarke is such a talent and has plenty of time ahead. Hopefully going up with #LUFC but if we ever did sell him. Price would already be £30m plus.

The Whites hate the idea of losing Jack Clarke, and they’ll be loving their club’s hardline stance on the recent interest in the winger.
