On Wednesday night against Ipswich Town, Adam Forshaw stood out for The Whites. His performance from midfield off the bench was first class and it wasn’t long after he came on that Leeds doubled their lead. Owing to that, the fans are now calling for him to replace Samu Saiz against Forest on tomorrow.
Hernandez and Phillips shine and Adam Forshaw stakes a big claim for a starting place on a tired night for Samuel Saiz. Ratings from Leeds 2 Ipswich 0:https://t.co/dJi0upDm0k

Samu Saiz has really failed to impress as of late and it was really telling that he wasn’t up to his usual levels when Pablo Hernandez came back in and started bossing things last night. Because of that, plenty of The Whites would happily see Saiz drop out of the eleven in favour of Forshaw for the visit of Aitor Karanka’s Nottingham Forest in Saturday’s late kick-off in the Championship.
Forshaw joined Leeds back in January this year from Middlesbrough and so far he’s failed to really put down a marker and make himself one of the first names on the team sheet at Elland Road. After Wednesday night, though, Marcelo Bielsa may see something in the 27-year and give him a run of starts, which could see them elevate their performances as they try to lock down the top spot in the Championship.
You can read The Whites’ verdict on Forshaw here:
If you did rest saiz would you play Forshaw in as a straight swap? I’d be tempted to push klich into 10 and forshaw into his role. Fwiw though I’d stick with saiz vs forest

Would do no harm at all to start Forshaw vs Forest on Saturday with Saiz on the bench so he knows no one is an automatic pick and he gets a bit of hunger back. Think Samu sometimes just needs to pick easy pass & move rather than trying a worldly every time #lufc

Forshaw in place of Saiz is sound but more important change would be Clarke for Harrison who fails to impress

I thought Forshaw was very attack minded last night. Showed there is more to his game. Start him next time out imo MOT

It was far easier for Forshaw against a punch drunk Ipswich for the last 40mins.
He did so well, easily his best showing in his stop start season so far,but Saiz is a big part of this team, even if tired— Stuart Hawkins (@stuhawkins17) October 25, 2018
Forshaw was tremendous. Very cool on the ball

The Whites will be keen to see Forshaw given a start tomorrow and the rest would probably do Saiz good as he aims to get back to his best.
