It doesn’t take a genius to realise that something has changed at Elland Road since the start of the season. Maybe the new manager effect has worn off or maybe injuries are kicking in, but Marcelo Bielsa is determined to solve the issue. His comments in yesterday’s press conference, that you can read on The YEP’s website, have had fans talking as the Argentine has questioned his side’s football.

So far, Bielsa has been everything that the Leeds fans have wanted. The 63-year-old has won big games and got his side playing football that six months ago the fans would have deemed impossible with their current crop of players. However, Bielsa’s side have failed to score more than once in the last five games they’ve played and the fact that they’ve managed just ten points from their last available 24 shows that something isn’t quite right.
When breaking down the numbers, Bielsa looks to have worked out the issue after pondering the Blackburn defeat. The former Argentina boss claimed that he felt his side played ut from the back and got into the final third really well at Ewood Park, but the poor final ball and lack of efficiency in front of goal let them down, and if any of the Leeds fans have learnt anything from Bielsa since his appointment, that’s something that he’ll put right sooner rather than later.

Whilst the fans all have their theories as to why it’s not all smooth sailing, they all trust in Bielsa to sort the issue.
