Over the summer Marcelo Bielsa made the decision to cut down his squad significantly. The Argentine has his ways and sticks to them and the fans were sceptical at the start. However, with Kemar Roofe, Pablo Hernandez and Gaetano Berardi all out injured at the moment, the fans have been questioning whether they’d still be top of the Championship had they been fit.
Bielsa is hopeful that Roofe, Hernandez and Berardi will be back for the game at Blackburn on October 20 (the other side of the international break). Says he misses having players like that available but says he doesn't relate any dropped points to not having them available #lufc

Pablo Hernandez is probably Leeds best player. The former Swansea man has got magic in his boots as he scores goals and gets assists for teammates week in week out when he’s fully fit. So when you take out the Spaniard the performance levels will drop, however, the fact that they’re also missing out a key defender in Berardi and their top goalscorer this season in Roofe, you can see why they’ve stuttered as of late.
Recent games against Millwall, Birmingham and Sheffield Wednesday haven’t gone as the fans would have liked and it could end up being crucial come to the end of the season when the promotion push is really on if they don’t get back to winning ways sooner or later. Despite all of this, Marcelo Bielsa has refused to blame the losses on the fact that he’s missing a few players, even if the fans have a different view.

Would've smashed the Wendies with Roofe and he knows it

Wish that was true but he has to keep belief in players available.

Could have done with Roofe for Brentford. Was only meant to be out a couple of weeks?!?! Expect Bamford back next season

Really hope we can win these next 2 matches going into the international break, give the lads a rest and get some injuries back from the Blackburn match

That is class management. Contrast such as Mourinho.

The Leeds fans are desperate to get their injured trio back and will be counting down until the Blackburn game for their return.
