Leeds United fans can be a fickle bunch. The Whites are currently top of the Championship despite not playing their best football over the last few weeks. However, after beating Ipswich yesterday the fans were heaping praise on Ezgjan Alioski, a man that is often used as a scapegoat by fans.

Alioski is a useful player to be able to rely on seeing as he can fill in on the left-wing and at left-back. Admittedly, he’s not everyone’s cup of tea and sometimes the Leeds fans are quick to jump on his back for poor performances, but there was nothing of the sort yesterday and he’s receiving nothing plaudits for the part he played in Marcelo Bielsa’s side big win that saw them usurp West Brom and Middlesbrough to claim top spot in the league.
The Macedonian winger, who’s racked up 21 caps for his country, has helped himself to three goals and three assists this season and looks set to smash his tally of seven goals and five assists that he set in his first season at Elland Road last year. The Whites will be targetting promotion under Bielsa and whilst there’s no doubt the fans will turn on Alioksi again at some point, his performance last night won’t be forgotten quickly.
