Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are feeling optimistic about the future as they look to see their side promoted from the Championship next season.
The men from Elland Road have got plenty going for them at the moment and if Garry Monk and his coaching staff stay there should be real optimism that the club is going to earn themselves promotion in 2017/18.
The Whites, then, are looking good and whilst they wait to see who comes in during the summer, Pep Clotet has uploaded a photo on his Twitter account of him catching up with former boss Terry Venables.
Fans, then, were quick to react to this and so here is the best of what was said:
Enjoyed chatting to Terry Venables at @theofficialfwa awards tonight. He brought much of what I like about the English game to Barça. #FOTYpic.twitter.com/fmnUDx5fNG

@pepclotet @theofficialfwa Interesting that Venables appears to have turned into Tom Jones

@pepclotet @theofficialfwa It’s a shame he never bought Barca success to Leeds

@pepclotet @theofficialfwa Sadly- the same can’t be said when he sat in your office at Thorpe Arch.

@pepclotet @theofficialfwa Hope u taught him something. U have been far better for LUFC than he was.

@pepclotet @theofficialfwa He’s dug out that old pearler of a tie from when he was at Leeds in 03.
