Leeds fans still impressed by Klich’s Hillsborough blinder

On Friday night, Leeds United travelled to Hillsborough to take on Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship. Leeds vs Wednesday has always been a tasty fixture and the latest edition didn’t disappoint as both sides scored stunning goals as the game finished 1-1.

Marcelo Bielsa has got his side playing some fantastic champagne football this season and Mateusz Klich’s equaliser on Friday followed suit. After Jack Reach had opened the scoring with an audacious half-volley from over 30 yards out, it was up to The Whites to give a reply and that’s exactly what they did. A lovely passing move eventually saw Klich pick the ball up around 25 yards out and the Polish international didn’t disappoint as he curled a beauty past Cameron Dawson in the Wednesday goal.

After losing at home to Birmingham last weekend it was up to Bielsa to mastermind a reply this week and whilst he couldn’t come away from Sheffield with all three points, the draw will still be viewed as a good result by the fans who will have just been glad not to lose twice on the bounce after such a promising start to their Championship campaign. Next up for Bielsa and co is a trip to The KCOM Stadium to face Hull City tomorrow evening and that game will be one that both the fans and the players will be desperate to take three points from.

The Whites will be loving Klich’s strike and will hope their man can repeat it tomorrow night away at Hull City.
