Leeds United are a side that apparently just don’t know when to give up. The Whites were down to ten men and 1-0 down away at Nottingham Forest when Jack Clake bagged just seven minutes into the second half after coming off the bench at the break, and the 18-year-old didn’t disappoint.

Clarke’s strike against Forest was his second of his senior career, and with both of them coming against top Championship sides away from home it looks like he’s got a serious future ahead of him. Last time out, the youngster’s goal against Villa started a serious fightback that saw the WHites comeback from 2i0 down to win 3-2, but unfortunately, that simply wasn’t the case at the City Ground.
There was a big second-half turnaround from Leeds, as they went from 1-0 down to 2-1 up with ten men, but all the wind was quickly taken out of their sails as Forest went on to bag another three goals and win the game 4-2 thanks to goals from Jack Colback, Daryl Murphy and Ben Osborn. The defeat will hurt, but when you consider the Whites are still top of the Championship and have youngsters like Clarke on board, then Leeds should be fine.
