Marcelo Bielsa has seen his options at Leeds United depleted at times this season and could look to use the January transfer market as an ideal opportunity to bolster his squad.
The Whites have seen a number of key players be hit with significant injuries at times throughout the campaign, which has had an effect on the side.
The frontline has been one area that has been affected at times, with Patrick Bamford having suffered a serious Posterior Cruciate Ligament injury shortly after arriving, whilst Kemar Roofe also had to miss some action.
And, it appears a striker as emerged onto Bielsa’s list of possible targets this season, with one man impressing in non-league football.
The Zimbabwe international has recorded 14 goals already this season, which has helped guide The O’s to the top of the table under Justin Edinburgh.
Leeds are not the only Championship side to have taken note of his performances though, with the likes of Nottingham Forest, Derby County and Norwich City having all been impressed with the 23-year-old.
The Verdict:
Boone has been excelling for Leyton Orient in the National League so it would have only been a matter of time before the clubs in the higher tiers come calling.
Formerly of Colchester United, the Zimbabwean did not have the best of records in the Football League, however, he appears to have found his shooting boots with the O’s.
The opportunity to work with Bielsa could sway the forward’s decision, as the Argentine would surely help to develop the striker further and progress him further.
