Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for a strong 2017/18 at their club with promotion certainly on many of the fans’ minds.
Of course, there was the hope that the men from Elland Road would be planning for the Premier League this summer but that dream eventually faded away and now they must go again in the second tier.
Time, then, will ultimately tell whether the club can make it back into the top flight at last but whilst we wait it appears that the club has been given a boost in the Pontus Jansson deal.
Indeed, the final obstacle in the transfer has been overcome – a complaint from Torino – as per Phil Hay on Twitter:
FIFA has confirmed that Torino’s complaint re: Pontus Jansson’s transfer to Leeds as been resolved. Cleared to go through on July 1. #lufc

Good news for Leeds fans, then, who will know be hoping their side can sign some more top players.
