If their Championship campaign was not tense enough, those at Leeds United will surely have had their nerves sent into overdrive following their weekend defeat to Sheffield United at the weekend, as it dented their hopes of winning an automatic promotion spot to the Premier League.
And, to make matters worse for the Whites and Marcelo Bielsa’s side, some rather concerning news has emerged that may implicate their chances of finishing in the top two of England’s second tier even further.

The club have confirmed on their official website that Pontus Jansson is set to spend around three weeks on the sidelines with the knee injury he picked up against Sheffield United, despite seeing out the match.
The defender, who was subsequently forced out of international duty with Sweden because of the injury, is now expected to begin his rehabilitation process at Thorp Arch.
The Verdict:
Leeds may be no strangers to injuries this season, however, Jansson’s injury will have come as a huge blow to the side and one that Bielsa could really do without with how things presently are.
Ever since his arrival from Torino, the 28-year-old has been a key figure for the club and one that has proved to be influential on and off the pitch for the Whites throughout his tenure at Elland Road.
Jansson will miss the home game against Millwall at the end of the month – which could arguably be one of the worst matches for the Swede to miss considering the rivalry between the two sides, however, there may be a silver lining to the whole situation.
Should the enforcer only have to spend three weeks on the sidelines, then that could be the only game that he misses because of the international break. He would, therefore, be able to make a return to the side for their final seven games – which include the likes of promotion hopefuls Sheffield Wednesday and Aston Villa when they both come to visit Elland Road.
