Leeds United will want to keep their winning momentum going on Tuesday when they entertain Reading at Elland Road on Tuesday night.
The Whites returned to Championship action at the weekend and managed to record a 2-0 win against Bristol City.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side are currently third in the division and appear to be trying to make up ground on Norwich City at the top of the division, and despite Reading being at the other end of the table, they could pose a tricky contest for the hosts.
“Pontus [Jansson] won’t be available, but Bailey [Peacock-Farrell] can be a starter on Tuesday,” he said.
The Sweden international has been struggling with a foot injury and Bielsa is not prepared to rush his return, whilst the Northern Ireland international goalkeeper had to miss the game at the weekend with a knee injury.
The Verdict:
The news that Peacock-Farrell is available will come as good news to Leeds as it means they will have a senior goalkeeper back in the team.
Will Huffer deputised for him on Saturday and managed to record a clean sheet, although the Northern Irishman has the experience, despite being relatively young himself.
Jansson’s absence could be a blow, although it could see Aapo Halme retain his place in the side on Tuesday night, after making his debut in the game at the weekend.
