Following Graham Smyth’s tweet linking to a throwback piece by Joe Urquhart in regards to the famous 4-3 victory over Liverpool back in November 2000, a match where striker Mark Viduka bagged all four Leeds United goals, many Whites fans have been jokingly giving their verdict on the encounter.
Coming back from 2-0 down to level up at 2-2 before the hour mark, Viduka appeared unplayable at Elland Road that afternoon – with the Australian going on to score another brace to ultimately win a stellar contest for the Whites.
Now, with the football season postponed until April 30th at the earliest date, Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth posted a throwback to the match in the form of player ratings – allowing supporters to relive that brilliant afternoon back at the dawn of the new millennium. In response, many Leeds fans have been delivering their verdicts on the game – with one supporter stating that he didn’t think anyone ‘saw that coming‘.

Monumental. Surely we can’t have everything implode within the next 4 years from this point and go all the way down to the third tier and by 2020 still not be back in the top flight?
