It’s fair to say Leeds fans aren’t too happy with Victor Orta’s latest move, as the Elland Road faithful reacted negatively to the club’s latest signing.
Leeds fans are desperate for some proper reinforcements in the January transfer window, but director of football Orta has so far failed to live up to their expectations. He did get one deal over the line this week though, as the club confirmed the signing of Elia Caprile.
Caprile is an 18 year-old goalkeeper who previously played for Chievo Verona, and has penned a contract with the Whites until the summer of 2023. Though extremely highly rated having already played for Italy’s youth teams, he isn’t exactly the signing fans were hoping for.
Of course, Patrick Bamford’s faltering form – no goals in his last five games – and the departure of Eddie Nketiah has left the club in dire need of a new striker signing, and supporters flocked to Twitter to ask if Caprile could play up front, while one fan simply fumed that the club had ‘lost the plot’.
Take a look at some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
Seriously have you lost the plot?
