Leeds United targeting three fresh additions

Steve EvansLeeds United fans in The Transfer Tavern are reacting to news that manager Steve Evans wants to bring at least three new players in by the end of November.

Evans was speaking to LUTV when he made the bold statement, saying that he had targets in mind and need them in before the loan window closes at the end of next month.

Leeds have had a disappointing start to their Championship campaign and currently see themselves in 17th position in the table ahead of tonight’s game against Blackburn Rovers.

Evans who will take charge of his third game of the club this evening is looking for that elusive first win following two draws at Fulham and Bolton.

The new manager was critical of the teams form under former manager Uwe Rosler and thinks the team should be attacking a lot more than they have in the past few months. Speaking to LUTV, Evans said:

“We’re asking people if players are available – whether that be on loan, or on loan with a view to a permanent signing. But I’m not going to be bringing players to Thorp Arch who are no better than what we’ve got. I won’t be insulting to Leeds supporters.”

“This is a team which has been put together by other coaches, but it’s not a Steve Evans team. We’ll add two or three players, hopefully, before the window shuts in November.”

The Leeds United fans in The Transfer Tavern are pleased with Evans comments and are hopeful that the players he will bring to the club will be what’s missing from their struggling side.
