The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are Leno done: Arsenal must now land £54m-rated ace to conclude an amazing year of transfers. The Gunners needed a new goalkeeper, and the German will be a good fit in place of Petr Cech.
Given that the Gunners have already landed the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Stephan Lichsteiner over the last 6 months, it’s clearly been a fantastic period for the Gunners.
Now, though, they must capitalise on the deal for Leno by bringing in another new player. If they do that, you could argue that Unai Emery has built the perfect team to embark on his first season in the Premier League with.
One area that still needs upgrading is the Arsenal attack. They could do with another winger to add further quality going forward, and our landlord thinks that Lorenzo Insigne, who is rated at £54 million by Transfer Markt, would be perfect.
The Italian is a very exciting attacking midfielder that is able to play across the front-line. He’s perhaps best used on the left, and so you could argue that he would be the perfect replacement for Alexis Sanchez, who now plays at Man Utd.
He had a fantastic campaign last season, having bagged 8 goals and 11 assists, and so Arsenal would be wise to consider that.
Insigne is very technically gifted, whilst his natural pace and drive allow him to get into incredibly promising positions.
His dribbling and passing allow him to set up chances brilliantly, and with someone like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ahead of him, that could be very useful for Arsenal.
Arsenal have had a great six or so months on the transfer front, and if they’re able to bring Insigne to the Emirates, they could be genuine title contenders next season.
