Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has ideally completed his business this window but fans in the Transfer Tavern have other ideas and think the club could definitely still strengthen to solidify their challenge as title favourites.
The Citizens have spent well in excess of any of their Premier League rivals and that rightly puts them among the top sides to be pushing for the top-flight crown come May time next year.
The tavern’s landlord has been spectacularly impressed with the calibre of players Guardiola has brought into the Etihad this summer; the likes of Kyle Walker and Danilo, as well as upcoming talents such as Bernardo Silva, Benjamin Mendy and Ederson.
Saying that, there is still a fortnight before the summer window slams shut for another five months and the club should be eager to get many more signings over the line between now and then.
Bearing that in mind, Manchester City need to tie up deals for these TWO players before deadline day comes around…..
Alexis Sanchez

Money doesn’t appear to be an issue for Pep Guardiola and Manchester City, so the tavern could very well witness increasingly amounts of cash being spent at the Etihad prior to the window shutting.
Apparent want-away attacker Alexis Sanchez has continuously been rumoured with a switch to the club, and, in our landlord’s opinion, is a deal that needs to be completed this summer if City are serious domestically and on an international scale.
The 28-year-old influential striker missed the Gunners’ opener with Leicester City last week but that may just fuel speculation for a potential move out of the capital and fans by the bar reckon his addition would complete Guardiola’s front line.
Virgil van Dijk

Our City-mad bar man suggests that if his beloved team are to complete for every possible piece of silverware, then the defence still needs bolstering before the transfer window closes or Pep Guardiola could suffer another tough campaign at the Etihad.
One man who’s more than likely to be on the move this summer is Southampton centre-half Virgil van Dijk; the Dutchman has handed in a transfer request and is thought to prefer to remain in the Premier League.
Manchester City are among the favourites to land his signature, which doesn’t surprise the tavern considering the side’s fragile defence has been their downfall in recent years and, without a shadow of a doubt, this man would improve that.
Manchester City supporters, is Guardiola still needing to strengthening with just two weeks left of the window? Should attack or defence be the priority? Tell us your opinions in the comment section below!
