‘Let’s make history’ - Everton fans react to player comments

Our Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait for their season to get going and it’s not that far away from happening now.

Indeed, whilst most sides in the country are still touring the globe and playing in friendlies the Toffees are about to get their competitive campaign underway in the Europa League.

The Toffees play Ruzomberok tomorrow night in a qualifier for the competition proper and our local Blues are certainly keen to see their new look side in action.

Indeed, there’s been plenty of new arrivals with Wayne Rooney, of course, one of them and he has been quoted by the club’s website and Twitter account saying playing in Europe with the club was always an aim of his:
