‘Little magician’, ‘Seal the deal’ - Plenty of Arsenal fans coo over journalist’s update

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been delighted with Unai Emery’s activity in the transfer market so far this summer, but recent reports suggest he is far from finished just yet.

With deals for Sokratis, Leno and Lichsteiner already complete, the post-Wenger era is beginning to take a positive shape under the new manager. Naturally, the supporters are delighted that their club are taking great strides in the transfer market and seeking to add proven quality to a squad which has been crying out for a revamp during the past two seasons.

Emery is yet to add a defensive anchor to his midfield, but a recent Twitter update from the highly-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano suggests that is set to change in the coming days.

Romano has claimed with absolute certainty that Lucas Torreira will be moving to the Emirates Stadium this summer, and his admission on Twitter has been met with delight by the supporters who are clearly big fans of the Uruguay international.

After watching Granit Xhaka struggle to provide a solid presence in-front of the back-four during his two seasons with the club, it seems that Emery is looking to shake things up in midfield by bringing in Torreira and, if his performances for Sampdoria in Serie A are anything to go by, the Gunners could be set to welcome a player of genuine quality to the club in the coming days.
