The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are eagerly anticipating the next move that their side is going to make. The Reds have invested heavily in the transfer market over the last year or so, with the likes of Naby Keita, Virgil van Dijk and most recently Fabinho signing on at Anfield.
It remains to be seen as to who Liverpool will sign next, but according to the Liverpool Echo, in an ideal world, they’ll have another significant move tied up within the next few weeks.
Fekir is, of course, involved in the competition with his native France, and so any move would likely be delayed if the Reds were to miss this deadline.
The World Cup officially kicks off with a game between Russia and Saudi Arabia on June 14th, and so that leaves Liverpool with under two weeks to get a deal over the line.
It will certainly be interesting to see how this pans out.
Landlord’s Verdict
Liverpool have had a fantastic start to the summer, and it’s looking like it will only get better.
They won’t have it easy, as Lyon will demand big money, and they’ll likely have competition, but the club appear keen to avoid drawn-out negotiations, and that’s a great thing.
A move for Fekir would be hugely significant, as he could serve as a brilliant addition to the squad alongside Naby Keita and Fabinho. He’d be the creative force in this team.
