Liverpool and Arsenal are two sides that often place a heavy emphasis on building towards the future, and this is yet another example of that trait.
According to Le Parisien, both Arsenal and Liverpool are keen on breakout Ligue 1 star Maxime Lopez, who has been impressing for Marseille this season.
Currently just 18-years-old, Lopez broke through into the Marseille first team this season – and has played 5 times so far this year.
Le Parisien seem to suggest that Liverpool are the side leading the chase, describing them as ‘courting’ the player – whilst Arsenal appear just to be keeping tabs on him.
Lopez is yet to score for Marseille this season, but he has already picked up an assist.
